Your personal feelings and thoughts create your own inner reality. This directly affects your mood and even your sense of well being. By creating a quality mindset, you make maintain a positive inner reality. Using this quick self hypnosis visualization you can achieve a great day.

When you first wake up, take a few minutes and think about how you would like your day to progress. Do not focus on actions, but rather how you want to feel and how you want to think. Thinking about a million dollars does not mean that it will come to you. You can only control yourself, not everything around you. This means controlling your reactions to the specific events of the day, not the events themselves. Here is an example, if you have an important presentation you need to think about what skills and resources your need for the day. You can focus on skills such as clarity, being calm under pressure, and even some basic reassurance. Maybe you just want to remain confident and professional. This is all part of setting up your day, every day.

One way to do this is to grab a notebook and write these items down. Take a few deep breaths calm your mind. Spend some time, just 5 or 10 minutes at most, and visualize yourself thinking and behaving exactly like you want to through the day. Try to add details and make it as real as possible. Try to experience how you would like to feel through the day.

When you are done, you should feel great and confident about the day ahead of you. Try to make note of the positive affects that you can note during the day. Every time you notice yourself using the positive feelings that you wrote down earlier will further reaffirm positive feelings.

You can use this on a normal day, you do not need any special events in order to use this process. Actually, by doing this on a daily basis you will become much better at it, both visualizing and accessing your inner resources.

Get Your Self Hypnosis Suggestions Right

Here are 4 tips about how to use self hypnosis to achieve your goals.

Get Realistic
Do not, however, believe that you can achieve anything you want. Self-hypnosis will not increase your chances of winning the lottery or make you grow taller. You must choose realistic goals. If you think that you can learn Kung Fu as fast as Neo in “The Matrix”, then you’re bound to become disappointed.

Get Specific
Let’s assume that you have a goal that you’re having trouble achieving, such as losing weight. Instead of saying, “I am going to exercise more”, try a more specific approach like; “I enjoy going for a 45minute walk every morning”. Try this approach for a month and you can see a change in your mindset and daily patterns. Don’t be surprised if you start to wake up in the morning excited about going for a walk.

Get A Timeframe
If your goal is to stop smoking then you need to set a timeline so that you can focus your efforts and measure what you have accomplished. If you do not have any form of timeline, then you will have no idea how well you are doing and in the end, you will lose your focus and motivation.

Some types of goals such as increasing self confidence or becoming less shy, timelines can be difficult to create. If there is no way to quantify your efforts, you need to make it a daily focus and simply recognize when and how you are making progress. If you do not recognize that you are getting better, you will soon lose the motivation to succeed.

Get Repetitive
You goals become easier to accomplish if you repeat your suggestions in the form of affirmations while in a waking state. This will reinforce the idea because it is recognized by both your conscious and subconscious mind. This will make it even easier to attain your goals.

Preparing Yourself For Self Hypnosis

If you are just starting to practice self-hypnosis it might take you longer to get yourself into the hypnotic state. This is to be expected because essentially you are re-training your mind to “behave” according to how you want it and since this is a new experience for your brain, you will naturally encounter some “resistance”. But don’t worry; I have outlined some steps to get you into the right state of mind.

• Learn to relax both your mind and your body - Take a warm bath to loosen up your muscles and to make you feel refreshed.

• Let go of your thoughts – Clear your mind of daily cares and worries and open your mind to being hypnotized. Do not get frustrated when you encounter difficulties in emptying your mind of your usual thoughts, it is really harder than people think. With practice you will soon get it right.

• Visualize yourself being calm and relaxed – If you find it hard to clear your thoughts then focus instead on picturing yourself slowly becoming more and more calm and relaxed with each passing breath.

• Make a suggestion - This is where you tell your subconscious to act in the way you want it to. This is when you retrain your mind to help you achieve the goals you have set out for yourself. If you want to lose weight, picture yourself already having lost weight. Suggest that you will only eat when you are really hungry, not when you are frazzled with other emotions that have nothing to do with physical hunger.

• Awaken to a new you – Will yourself to awaken from the hypnotic state back to the conscious state. Awaken to the belief and the feeling that you have indeed achieved the purpose of the hypnotic session

Practice self-hypnosis daily and soon you will be able to hypnotize yourself anytime and anywhere

The Physical Benefits Of Self Hypnosis

Self hypnosis tends to deal primarily with the The problem is that most of time these messages are negative and work against you. This is why often times, things do not end in success regardless of your outward efforts.

Two powerful forces that can help you achieve your goals desire and belief. Before you can achieve any goal, you must have a strong desire for it. You need to really want to achieve it for yourself and not to just please someone else. So if you want to quit smoking, for example, you need to want to do so for yourself, not just because someone is on your back telling you that you need to quit.

Once you’re genuine desire for a goal is established, then you must truly believe that you can achieve it. It doesn’t matter how much you want to achieve something, if deep down you believe that you’ll fail, then you probably will.

Keep in mind, that all of your beliefs and thoughts are sent continuously to your subconscious mind.
This means that you need to keep your thoughts and beliefs in mind since they directly influence your success. If you do not think you can meet your goals, then you won't. It’s hard to achieve any goal if you don’t believe that what you want is actually attainable. For example, if you’re trying to lose weight and change your eating habits, you need to actually believe that you can do it. If you are always worried about not being able to resist the temptation of unhealthy foods, then you never will.

Why is this? Simple. Your subconscious mind constantly seizes the information that you send to it to create your behaviour, and if you send negative information or messages then you will get negative results.
It’s critical to assess your motives and thoughts on an ongoing basis and compare them to the actions that you are taking towards reaching your target. If something is not working for you, then modify it. Most importantly, be flexible and make changes where needed. You need to continuously, fine tune your attitude towards your goal, be mindful of your actions and keep it a priority.

Anytime you accomplish any goal you set, take a moment and enjoy the pleasure and satisfaction of meeting that goal. Success is success whether it is great or small. It is the start of the life that you always wanted.

How To Choose A Good Hypnotherapist

With the proliferation of exaggerated ideas about hypnotism because of what they see in movies or stage shows, people often fret going to a hypnotist even if it offers excellent treatment for various psychological problems. From stress reduction to weight loss problems, undergoing hypnotism has been proven to help people do more than change their bad behaviors for a day. As a matter of fact, hypnosis changes the way you think and even helps you make permanent changes to last your lifetime.

Although many prefer self-hypnosis for their treatment, there is a growing number of people who prefer to work with a professional hypnotherapist even if it’s only at the beginning of their treatment.

So what should you look for before choosing a hypnosis specialist or hypnotherapist? I would say aside from looking at his credentials, you should go with your gut feel.

Moreover, aside from a good reputation which should come from testimonials or referrals from people you know, you might want to ask some questions about where the hypnotist learned hypnosis. It is important for you to ascertain if your hypnotist went to a reputable hypnosis school and not some shady university on the Internet which more often than not only gives out a fake degree. Did he have a mentor train them in hypnosis or did he just read off from books? Find out as much as you can to improve your level of comfort with the hypnotist’s competency.

You should also give the hypnotist’s office a visit prior to booking a session. Get a feel of the office and the people who work there. You should at least be greeted in a friendly manner upon coming in and be treated with the utmost respect during your visit.

A professional hypnotist or hypnotherapist will go to great lengths to make you feel comfortable by spending some time asking you questions and answering yours. They are expected to try to get to know you on a personal level and to explain their processes to your satisfaction. Don’t go through a session if you feel even the littlest bit uneasy about the hypnotist. It’s okay to say no and try self hypnosis instead, where the person doing it is somebody you know you can – you!

Your Brain In Hypnosis

“The brains of the whole operation”, “The brain behind the brawn”, or simply, “The brain”, are just a few of the allusions used to refer to somebody who controls everyone else, somebody who makes everyone do what they are expected to do or perform their functions the way they should. In essence, the human brain is really like that. In hypnosis it even has a “life of its own”.

Anatomically, the brain is nothing more but a glob of gray matter divided into the medulla oblongata, the cerebellum, and the cerebrum. The medulla oblongata controls the body’s automatic functions, like making our heart beat, while the cerebellum controls our movement and coordination as well as our nervous system. On the other hand, the cerebrum does all higher level thinking.

To the non-scientifically inclined layman, there are just two sections of the brain, the right half and the left half. To a hypnotherapist, the brain, in particular the thinking part of it or the cerebrum is further divided into our conscious mind and our subconscious mind.

The conscious mind is that part that is mentally aware and consciously thinking about whatever is going on in front of us. The subconscious mind is the repository of neural pathways, memories and thoughts that are recorded and catalogued randomly.

Our subconscious mind records every activity as it happens to us, whether we are conscious of the activity as having happened or not. This is why we have a vague recollection or impressions about activities or attitudes about tasks that we don’t remember doing or cannot explain the reason for.

Our conscious mind is what we use each and every waking moment to make decisions. But behind it is our subconscious mind, advising it on all decisions, and pulling on past habits and patterns to influence those decisions. As a matter of fact, we can often see some of what our subconscious mind is “thinking” through our dreams, which is when our brain is organizing the randomly stored memories and thoughts.

While all memories and thoughts are being recorded, some get lost in the shuffle of neural pathways. This is where professional hypnosis, or even self-hypnosis, can be used to exert some control over what our subconscious mind is thinking, as well as cause the reorganization of the shuffled neural pathways.

Hypnosis can also be used to remove some negative thought patterns and habits embedded deep in our subconscious mind.

While meditation is often associated with hypnosis, they are actually very different from each other although both tap the subconscious mind. This has been proven by studies done where brain activity during hypnosis and meditation were measured through brain scans such as EKGs.

The difference lies in the desired effect, where meditation aims to bring about relaxation and introspection while hypnosis seeks to achieve a specific goal by entering the hypnotic state and using the power of suggestion.

Self Confidence Hypnosis - What Can It Do For You?

A person who has experienced some measure of success in life may balk at the idea of self confidence hypnosis. If one is quite comfortable with his own abilities, then why rock the boat, so to speak. This belief may exactly be the reason for that person to take a second look at himself.

As actively promoted by its proponents, self confidence hypnosis may be helpful to those who have fears in these common scenarios: public speaking, socializing with people or going to job interviews. Immediately, a person who may be intrigued by hypnosis but don't believe that he has self confidence issues may be convinced that he has no use for it. The fact is, self confidence hypnosis is not just limited to overcoming anxiety in speaking to large crowds.

Self confidence, as distinguished from self-esteem, is the belief in one's ability or capacity to do something. To put it in another way, even if one has confidence in one thing, it does not necessarily follow that he has confidence in all things. A person who has no qualms in selling his new idea in the boardroom or in persuading his case to a hostile jury may doubt himself when it comes to haggling for the best price in buying a car or in any other situation that he is not usually accustomed to be in. After all, Nobody is perfect in every single area in his life; although it might not be crippling the person outright, he may do better if he opens to the possibilities of what self confidence hypnosis can do to him.

Most people also have past experiences that could have shaken their confidence at some point. This could be an embarrassing situation in school, a major gaffe in their first job or a car accident caused by his negligence. Others may have had painful childhood traumas such as being told they were not beautiful or capable enough or that they should not even try something because they would only fail at it. Self-professed confident people may proudly say that they have gotten over these things by shrugging them off or pushing them out of their minds. However, while they may have had pushed them out of their conscious minds these are still very much taking residence in their subconscious minds. These beliefs would then, unbeknownst to them, rear its ugly head in the way they make decisions or behave. The only way they can take control of these negative beliefs is to extract them out of their subconscious mind and have it replaced by positive ideas. Self confidence hypnosis can certainly address this type of issue.

Another example of one's confidence being shaken are those times when life throws him a curve ball and he is put into a situation that he needs to adjust to, but may not know exactly how. It may be during the period when one is laid off, for instance, or when one needs to relocate to a new and unfamiliar place or country or in any situation when one is taken out of his comfort zone. Some may cope easily; others, although confident in other areas, may find these changes daunting.

Lastly, there are those milestones in life that most people go through. This can be a marriage, divorce, birth of a child or loss of loved ones. Major adjustments may be needed to go through these milestones and many often find themselves at a loss on how to proceed and would start to second-guess themselves. They may be pleased to find that there is such a thing as self confidence hypnosis that can help them sail through all these changes.

Using Anchors To Recreate A Positive Resource State

What if I knew a way you could do something really incredible, just by performing a very simple action? Put down those nasty chocolates and those sissy “comfort foods” that are only comfort in that they give you a big pillow around your waist, and listen up. How would you like to feel genuinely good, and lift your spirits up to a point where you feel like you’re worth a lot, no matter how depressed you may get, just by squeezing your thumb against your forefinger? It’s not that hard, and you don’t have to be Harry Potter to do it. Matter of fact, there’s no magic involved whatsoever.

All you have to do is think of a situation in which you had a really great, enjoyable experience. Get really vivid with it, imagine every detail, and really revive the whole situation – see what you saw, feel what you felt, and hear what you heard. If you can recall and bring back smelling what you did in that moment, and even the taste you had, that’s even better – when it comes to vivid sensory experiences, the more the merrier. As you feel those sensations rising through you, gently squeeze your thumb and your forefinger together on your left hand for a few moments, then release them.

What you’ve done is entered a ‘state.’ Now, ‘break your state’ by remembering what you ate for breakfast yesterday. Squeeze your thumb and forefinger together again, and gently pulse them, to bring back your ‘state’ of joy.

This process is known as ‘anchoring with NLP.’ When you engage in an experience and make it wonderfully vivid in your mind (using ALL five of your senses), you can recall an experience with every fiber of your being, and then anchor it to a physical action you can do right now. When you activate your NLP anchor the first few times, make the effort to recall that situation, as a method of reinforcing this programming.

The use of thumb and forefinger is called a tactile anchor, meaning that using some kind of touch lets you gain access to the states and/or resources you want whenever you want them.

Hypnosis For Anxiety

Anxiety, a more socially acceptable way of saying fear, can range in intensity from a reasonably mild case of stage fright, all the way up to a full blown panic attack. We all feel fear – but for some people, certain activities and places tend to cause such a high level of tension that the person can’t even function properly. The ultimate expression of a fear is an outright panic attack. With too much stress, these people may not be able to hold a job, go out in public, shop, drive or do many other activities that are considered common and crucial to a normal and healthy life.

Many physical problems can have their root cause in an anxiety disorder. “Stress” can cause heart disease, excessively high blood pressure, strokes, muscle ache, fibromyalgia, and many other conditions which can reach life threatening stages. Stress is just fear, after all, and fear is designed to put us into a fight or flight state of being. However, remaining within this fight or flight state is not healthy in the least – especially when the danger we feel is not genuine. When someone is having a panic attack or is terrified to the point where they can’t function, even if they aren’t in mortal danger, if their body believes the danger is life threatening it will respond accordingly.

There is nothing new about anxiety, as there is nothing new about fear. Even the recognition that fear-based issues exist has been known for centuries. Many people, often women, have been diagnosed with such issues. In the past, it was often labeled “hysteria” and the treatment was a number of different medications, including alcohol… not so much a cure as a panacea. In nearly every case, if one looks at the afflicted individual’s life, there was an incident or particular time period in that life where such trauma occurred that the episode caused them to experience severe fear whenever they became exposed to anything reminding them of that incident or time period.

While there are drugs which can force a person to appear to be better, the most effective means to alleviate the symptoms is to work on healing the internal strife which causes them. Hypnosis, performed by a trained professional, can help to ease the underlying fear and suffering.

Aside from that hypnosis will also help you to relax more. In fact, regular sessions, whether you use a recording or visit a hypnotherapist, will help to train your mind and body to activate your “relaxation response” more often. And it won’t be long before you’ll be feeling calmer and more at ease on a regular basis.

Creating Affirmations

It's our attitude, beliefs and self talk that influences whether we accomplish our goals or not. In severalcases we unintentionally set ourselves up to fail because before we even make a start we've decided on the result. You're more than likely familiar with that tiny pessimistic voice in your the back of your mind that pops up from time to time. However, as soon as you modify the way you think about something, you are setting yourself up to succeed.

If you want to change your way of thinking, start to be aware of any negativity. The first step to dealing with negative thoughts is to make yourself consciously aware of them. Then just insert a positive statement right next to a negative one. Then let it go.

You don’t have to totallyremove all unproductive or negative thoughts. It’s an exercise in futility that , will justmake you annoyedand ultimatelymore negativein the long run. All you need to do is get into the habitof thinking positively and, after a while, you'll find that you think more positively automatically.

Using affirmations is another method of changing your self talk. However, many people don’t use them appropriately. The typeof the affirmation that you use is veryimperative. There are some forms of affirmations that are very successful. while others don't work as well and some may even be detrimental. Here are a number of tips to take into account whiledeveloping your affirmations.

Use on;y positive words.
Always frame what you are going to say in a positive way. Instead of saying, “I won’t eat junk food today” say, “I eat healthy and nutritious food that tastes great” Bear in mind that positive words strengthen your thoughts and ideas. On the other hand, negative words will strengthen the belief and idea that you can't be successful.

Affirm in the present tense
If you affirm that you are “going to” achieve your goal in the future, then your mind will work on keeping it there. You don’t want to be perpetually “going to” achieve something. You want to frame it in the now, as if you’ve already achieved it. For example, if you want to lose weight, don’t say “I will lose weight” instead, say something like “I’m at my goal weight”

Make it believable
Add something to establish that you have already completed all or at least a part of your objective. It makes it more believable to the subconscious mind. Therefore it’s more likely to integrate into your current beliefs and less likely to dismiss it. For example, if your goal is to be more confident, say “Each day I grow more confident”.

What Is Hypnosis

Hypnosis is simply entering a trance like state in which a persons mind becomes more aware and focused along with becoming more open to suggestions. It is nothing like the general misconception where you will act like a duck and be made to quack or to make a noise whenever you hear a “magic” word. Those are just for entertainment.

In truth, hypnosis can give relief to the patient. This can be for people suffering from high levels of stress or to help people quit smoking or lose weight. You do not stare at a swinging pocket watch and automatically lose consciousness. Professional hypnotism is performed in a very relaxed and controlled environment that moves you into a day-dream like trance, however you are still totally in control of what you do and are aware of everything going on around you.

By entering this day-dream like state allows your mind to be free to form new thoughts and open your subconscious to a new line of thought. By tapping into your subconscious, you are able to reset your normal patterns of thought.

When your subconscious is open to suggestion, a hypnotist will help implant new behavioral models such as convincing a smoker that smoking is not an option for coping with stress.

A session of hypnosis plants a seed or thought into your brain, this allows positive thoughts to take root in your subconscious mind that can alter your attitudes or belief structure.

Hypnosis is nothing supernatural. It is like when you become involved with an activity or book and suddenly you realize that an hour or two has passed and didn't really notice what was going on around you. It is not supernatural, it is simply a form of hypnosis. Intense levels of focus or concentration lets your mind tune out your surroundings and solely focusing on what you are doing or reading. Hypnosis is similar to zoning out.

Once in a hypnotic state of mind, you can start creating positive thoughts in your subconscious to allow you to create changes in the way you think or act.

Hypnosis cannot solve all of your problems in an hour, the assistance that it brings to your life happens over several sessions in order to really take root. Regardless, many people can see large improvements after a single session.

In order for this process to be a success, you must enter it with an open mind. If you expect a panacea or cure-all, then you will become a cynic very quickly.

Try Self Hypnosis

If you just don't trust professional hypnotherapy, you might just be a do-it-yourselfer. There's nothing wrong with that, and they even have a term for those who don't trust "The Man" to hypnotize them. It's called self-hypnosis, and it's often practiced by those who aren't accustomed to trusting others - including therapists. Indeed, without a great deal of trust in whomever does the hypnotizing, there is absolutely no benefit to it, as the subject cannot relax enough to reach the hypnotic state. Especially for those untrusting types, using self-hypnosis, one can take control of their own subconscious minds, and begin to improve their lives from the inside out.

Just to make it clear, self-hypnosis really isn't for everyone. If you’re the type who expects everything to happen very quickly, and/or without much effort, you might as well stop reading this right now and go do something more immediately-gratifying. Patience is a virtue in general, and an indispensable component of the successful practice of self-hypnosis.

Obviously, those who are too 'squirrelly' to sit still for long periods of time should either learn to calm their bodies and minds, or give up the practice before they've wasted too much time. If you can't sit still for half an hour, don't try self-hypnosis until you're able to be still consistently. Some people blame the modern world and its rapid-fire way of doing things, but everyone can theoretically improve at this. The difficulty is actually settling down to do so.

Self-hypnosis is not unlike meditation. So if you're into meditation, self-hypnosis should be no great challenge to learn and practice. By clearing your thoughts and relaxing your body, you open up to easing your mind into a different state of being. While this could be called the pursuit of enlightenment and wisdom, it really doesn't have to go that deeply, or be so vague and wannabe-mysterious. The benefits of self-hypnosis can be worth a lot of time devoted to it.

The great thing about self-hypnosis is that it doesn't require all the religious overtones of "Meditation." You don't have to wear a diaper, either -- but you can, if that's your thing. You can program your mind to see things differently, and can program yourself for more beneficial habits, ie stopping smoking or living more healthfully. One other great thing about self-hypnosis is that there are so many resources on its practice, meaning the only block is just getting down and doing the do.

The Power Of The Subconscious Mind

"I just can't." That statement echoes in the minds and hearts of far too many people. Often times, these same people are held back by nothing more than that pervasive, completely specious belief that they simply cannot accomplish what they set out to do. What's odd is that inside us, all of us, there is the potential for unlimited power and strength, just waiting to be set free. All we have to do is unlock what already lies within us, by releasing these ridiculous self-doubts.

From the day you were born until this moment, your subconscious mind has been with you -- it is the seed and the field of all you have reaped in life. And it will continue to produce that precious crop that is your experience, for as long as you live. It is impervious, and it follows your orders to the letter, always.

Your subconscious mind is an unstoppable tank with the unquestioning loyalty and unshakeability to unendingly and fearlessly movw forward in the direction into which it is guided and driven. Unfortunately, it has no internal guidance system, and lacks any capacity to move on its own. This is why we have creative imagination. It holds the blueprint of your every success, but you are the architect of this blueprint. Indeed, you are the architect and the pen.

It's fascinating how much time most people spend learning to use the latest technical gadget -- usually a lot more than they spend learning to properly use their own mind. Most people know that the mind has two major parts to it, the conscious and subconscious. What most people don't know is that the conscious mind is limited to an awareness of only five or six things at any one time. The subconscious mind, on the other hand, processes over 2 million pieces of information every second, and acts as the autopilot that runs our lives. Your subconscious mind has been building habits from your experiences and lessons since that first mental switch flicked on when you were still in the womb.

If only changing the life of a fully grown human being were so easy. Setting goals and using will power sound like a good idea at first... but then they fail. The conscious mind is not the goal-striving mechanism that the subconscious mind is. The conscious mind does not store belief systems, patterns and habits, which are what guide your life at all times. Trying to change a habit is completely pointless, unless the subconscious mind is set to the task of creating positve new images of your intention.

Our subconscious mind is silently working at all times, storing away experiences and all that resides beyond our conscious awareness. It experiences all, knows all, and stores all.

Hypnosis is rather like opening up the hood of a car, in its unfettered access to the subconscious mind and ability to change the goals to which it strives, and the beliefs to which it's bound. At the depths where hypnosis goes, there is real change.

Self Hypnosis - So what's it all about?

Mention “hypnosis” in any conversation and ask people what picture comes to their minds almost instantaneously. I’m pretty sure they would immediately conjure a somewhat stereotypical image of a hypnotist swinging a pocket watch at a willing victim… err patient, telling him or her that he or she is slowly falling asleep.

What happens next depends on which movie you saw that particular scene in. But as sure as I’m writing this, the hypnotic session would end with the hypnotist telling the patient that he will count to three, snap his fingers and the patient will awake from the trance, often remembering nothing of what occurred during the whole experience.

This is what Hollywood hypnotism is, as captured on film. Whether the said movie turns out to be a big hit or a major flop, it has accomplished one thing: It has convinced many people that hypnosis can control your mind. And the one hypnotized becomes a slave of the hypnotist and does everything he is told only to recall nothing of it after.

In real life, you are still completely aware of what you are doing even when in a hypnotic trance. You will not be made to do anything you would not normally and willingly do.

During hypnotherapy sessions for counseling or therapy, whether it is you doing it on yourself or being done to you by another person, the conscious mind is bypassed to tap directly to the subconscious mind in a trance-like state. But, again, you are still fully aware of your surroundings.

Your subconscious mind processes everything that you see, hear and feel. Sometimes we don’t always notice things with our conscious mind, but is still being recorded and taken note of by our subconscious only to be played back through weird dreams that don’t seem to make sense.

A positive use of self-hypnosis is when you communicate directly with your subconscious mind to implant thoughts or ideas that will help you achieve a goal or attain a specified effect. In reality, self-hypnosis allows you to override your conscious mind’s preconceived notions about your life and reset it to process only your desired habits. This is because your subconscious mind is far more receptive to suggestions than your conscious mind.

You can say self-hypnotism gives you a better chance at success because it allows you to program your mind to entertain only thoughts, beliefs, attitudes and habits that assure success.
